University Assignment
The IS (Information Systems) Consulting (QUT) Saturday workshop is a full-day workshop, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. On this day, each of the study groups will assume the role of either a procurement team from a prospective client organisation (‘Client Team’) or the role of a ‘Consultant Team’ - I was part of a consultant team called "JEMB Consulting". We reviewed and responded to a Request for Proposal (RFP) in advance. During the workshop, the Client Team and Consultant Teams interacted with the objective of presenting and assessing a consulting proposal, submitted on the Wednesday prior to the Workshop.
At the workshop, the Client Team elaborated on the details of their Request-for-Proposal (RFP) and their organisation’s background and needs as necessary, with the ultimate aim of selecting one of the consultant teams and their proposal.
At the end of our workshop, my team - JEMB Consulting - was chosen as the best team to meet the client teams needs. It was a great experience that taught us a lot about the job of an IS Consultant.
