Gargoyle Wines

Website | Logo | Wine label | Business cards | Social media | Merchandise

Gargoyle Wines are a boutique Brisbane wine company that was formed in 2017. They commissioned me to design a logo and label for their first product - a sangiovese made in Adelaide Hills. Once these were designed,

I was asked to design and create an online store and social media presence. I continue to work for this small business - creating new labels, designing uniforms and maintaining the site and social media.

The Final Logo and Label

Some initial designs of potential labels were created based on other gargoyle designs and some basic requirements from the business. Eventually, we decided on a double-sided gargoyle (specifically the puke-face gargoyle from the Notre Dame in Paris). The final label was chosen based on an image I created early on - the dark pink circle representing a blood moon and the waves in the background represent the ocean. The drop on the circle and the R of Gargoyle were to represent the blood of Jupiter. The colour of the circle is to change for each new wine the company creates - keeping consistency and excitement.
